14th Annual Maroons Youth Soccer Tournament
June 18, 19 & 20, 2010

Location of Tournament:
Ridgewood, New Jersey is located in the heart of Bergen County and home
of the Maroons Soccer Club. Ridgewood is less than 45 minutes from
New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The fields are just minutes from
the intersection of route 17 and route 4, exit 163 off of the Garden
State Parkway and a short distance from route 80 and the New Jersey
Turnpike. Maps, field sites, rules, schedules and instructions will be
posted on our website.

Format:
Each team will be scheduled to play four 50 minute games (25 minute halves
and a 5 minute break). All U8 through U10 games are 7v7 including keeper.
All U11 and U12 games are 6v6 including keeper.
Rules of Competition
Eligibility:
This is a USYSA-sanctioned Tournament through the NJ State Youth Soccer
Association. All teams must be affiliated with the USYSA, and in good
standing with their association. NO SELECT teams or Tournament teams
will be accepted. All teams must have current player passes (USYSA) or
appropriate National Association passes. All teams must follow proper USYSA
travel proceedures. Secondary cards will be accepted. We are allowing 2
guest players but we highly discourage teams acquiring premier players
to create a "select" team. Maxium roster size: U8-U10 is 14
players and U11 & U12 is 18 players.
Team Selection:
Team Selection to the Ridgewood 14th Annual Soccer Tournament is by
the "Selection Committee". Notification will be e-mailed
to all teams. The selection process is assisted by the information supplied
by each team (example: -- Team Record, current playing level, past
tournament position, etc.) Also out-of-town or state will be considered to
achieve a balance. Flight assignments, directions, and other information
will be posted on our website.
* Games scheduled Friday 6/18 will be scheduled with local teams for
evening games.
Entry Fee:
All applications must be received by May 28, 2010. An entry fee
of $425 * per team must accompany all applications. Make checks or money
orders payable to the "Maroons Soccer Club". Teams that are not
accepted will have their entry fee returned with a letter of notifcation.
All applications received after May 28, 2010 will be placed on a waiting
list. If a team drops out for any reason all fees are forfeited. All

* Note: For those U11 and U12 teams that want to split their teams into 2,
the fee would be a discounted $425 in total for both teams.
Tournament Cancellation Policy:
This tournament's cancelation policy as per US Club Soccer provides for
refunding a minimum of 80% of a team's entry fees if the tournament is
cancelled for any reason before the start of the tournament. The reason for
cancellation might include weather, field usage, or sponsoring organization
management decision.
Registration:
Team Registration must be completed one hour prior to the team's
first game. The following items must be presented during registration:
Player Passes
Permission to Travel forms (for out-of-state teams)
Player Roster forms (copy is permissable) *
Medical Release forms (for each player)
* For U11 & U12 split teams, rosters for Team “A” & Team “B” need
to be included with your full team roster.
All of the above must be available at game site.
Awards:
Recognition awards (a Tournament patch) will be awarded to all
participants. Trophies will be awarded to all first and second place U11
and U12 teams in their flight. Exchanging club patches or pins between
teams is expected.
Golf Cart Notice:
Golf carts will be operated at the tournament site only by drivers
with valid NJ drivers license.
Pool Access:
Great POOL avaiable to all teams, families and friends. Adjacent to the
Tournament site at Vets is Graydon Pool. This large and beautiful town pool
will be accessible to all family, friends, players & coaches for a very
low cost.
Soccer Cafe:
Reasonably priced, great quality food will be available throughout the
tournament serving breakfast, lunch and snacks at conveniently located
sites.
